I tended to make infrequent, long posts, which didn't seem to work as well in practice as it ought to have done in theory. If I can train myself to feel OK with making posts of appropriate length, and recognising that it's OK to make short posts when they're appropriate

It's really hard to get around the idea that a post of a few paragraphs, sometimes with a supporting link or two, is frequently more effective and more likely to be read than a long essay with many many links.
It just feels wrong, but the web seems to prefer brevity interspersed with exposition. I've been quiet on the blogs I contribute to for awhile now, I think partially because I'm trying too hard to write perfect posts—I look at the stuff I was writing in 2006 and want to be as good as that.
Which is daft, I wasn't trying to be great then, it just sometimes ended up being so. Ah well.
